Today was the feast of St. James the Greater, one of the Twelve. He comes across as kind of impulsive and aggressive in the Bible, but Jesus must have seen something in him; James, along with Peter and James brother John, was given the privilege of being present for many of Our Lords most powerful moments. James was also the first of the Apostles to be martyred for the faith; he was probably just as zealous at proclaiming the Gospel as he was in everything else. Hes also the patron saint of Spain for some reason. St. James the Greater, pray for us!
