Today we celebrated the Cigna Mayors Race Presented by Oncor Kickoff with Louise Wolff Kahn Elementary! Fourth and fifth-graders enjoyed a special treat before hearing about the importance of health and fitness – they toured Dallas Police and Fire Department vehicles, including police cars and a fire truck, hung out with Radio Disney, sampled Three Happy Cows products and met the Dallas Mavericks mascot, Champ. After the presentation, MetroPCS Dallas Marathon representatives fit fifty students for a pair of free running shoes to help jumpstart their training runs.
