Today we finally finished up a job that has been sitting over a week, waiting for a nice day, because with stamped concrete, even a brief rain on the surface while wet will make the color smeary and uneven looking. We began this job by removing the grass from the yard, into a bin, the owner didnt want the maintenance of the lawn, since the yard was pretty small to begin with. We then formed it all up with a curved area around the tree they wanted to keep, and laid gravel throughout which we then compacted it and laid steel everywhere. Unfortunately it was at this point that the weather got really bad again and we couldnt be confident enough in the weather to risk the pour for a week, we got it poured today though, in a medium-dark brown, belgian slate finish, and I think it turned out pretty nice.
