Today we had a mammoth public rally on Mandevu Grounds. I took time to address the concerns of our people. I was accompanied by my wife Esther, Central Commmittee, Ministers, Members of Parliament and other leaders. First of all we denounced people that wish to hold government to ransom. Our government will uphold the rule of law and there will be no sacred cows. We also exposed individuals that owe government taxes but wish to hide in government. Its imperative that taxes are paid. We also explained measures to be taken to ensure that food prices will be cheaper. We also demonstrated that we are better placed to honour the pledges to give Zambians a better Constitution. I gave an example that while I acted as President, I released the Draft Constitution to through Parliament. We also demonstrated that we have taken steps to honour Paramount Chief Chitimukulu and we will gazette him.
