Today we lost a sweet and brave lil hero, Mariah. I feel so blessed that I got to meet her. She is so beautiful and strong. She will never be forgotten. This reminds me that we need to fight for these lil heroes everyday. Over the weekend my amazing friend Jen had a birthday party and selflessly made it a party to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. I made a poor decision and went to Colorado with my football team. I have horrible regret for not being at her party, where I needed to be. Last week I was told I need to get a port because chemo has ruined my veins and my treatment is far from over. I will not be able to play football until after May of next year, if then. I love football, but cant play. I feel in my heart that I need to focus the energy I have to helping in the fight so that lil heroes dont have to battle cancer or be taken from us. I will still be there to cheer on my team, but I need to make childhood cancer awareness number one. It just isnt fair that any child go through what Mariah has. It just breaks my heart.
