Today we received unexpected and unfortunate news that a family from Australian International Academy – Caroline Springs - was involved in a very serious car accident in Truganina yesterday after school. The father contacted the school in a very distressed state to inform us that his wife and four of his children were in hospital. They had all sustained broken bones, but one of the children may Allah cure him was in a very serious state and doctors advised the parents that it seems unlikely that he will make it. Yesterday he was playing soccer in the yard without a care in the world and today he is fighting and clinging onto life. The life of this world is fleeting and this serves as another reminder at how quickly our state can change. One day you are here and the next you are gone. He would tell me how his father would wake them up for fajr and keep them up reading and memorising Quran before school every day. I would encourage him and tell him how lucky he was to have a father that did this and how this is the best time to be reciting the book of Allah. He is a delightful young boy and a joy to have in the class. I ask Allah SWT to cure him and give the family patience in this difficult time, ameen.
