Today we stand on the brink of parliamentary history says Patrick - TopicsExpress

Today we stand on the brink of parliamentary history says Patrick OFlynn in his piece today for the Daily Express. It seems highly possible that the political cartel will be broken tomorrow in Clacton and take another body blow in Heywood and Middleton. And the name of the cartel busters? UKIP. If Douglas Carswell is elected at the Clacton by-election in UKIP colours then we will be into a new political era in which my party will have proved there are parts of the country where voters can indeed vote UKIP and expect to get UKIP. And if John Bickley comes at least a good second in Heywood and Middleton my party will have shown that across the north of England it is replacing the Tories and the Lib Dems as the main opposition to Labour.
