Today we stopped in at VaporEssence, which is located at 7643 US-72 W in Madison, AL. Find them on Facebook at facebook/VaporEssence. We offer the following friendly review. The location is not well-marked and easy to miss as you drive by, so keep an eye out for it when youre getting close (its on the south side of the US-72). The shop is located in the back and you have to walk through a salon to get there. While doing so makes the entry feel weird, that is immediately replaced by “Oh cool!” as you step through the beaded curtains into the store for the first time. The shop, while small in square footage, has a roomy and cozy atmosphere thanks to the owners personality shining through the decorations and her friendliness. The decorative and friendly atmosphere makes this store unique among other vape shops we have visited. We were greeted with a genuine smile by an owner who is obviously proud of her store and honestly wants to help every customer that walks in. Thats something that always feels good to a customer when they enter an establishment. The vape bar (where you can try flavors) has both the owners creations and some by other vendors. Taste is subjective, so I will make no commentary on the flavor of the juices, except to say that the Root Beer Float was pretty damn good and I walked away with a bottle of Kringles Curse (Halo brand)! VaporEssence has their juices at the vape bar numbered for easier reference. This is the best way Ive seen a vape bar setup so far, making it super easy to find the liquid youre looking for and want to taste. Kudos to VaporEssence for using this method! The selection of batteries, atomizers, starter kits, etc. is exactly what one would expect from a store of the size of VaporEssence. What set VaporEssence apart in this category was their wide variety of customization & accessories (or bling, if you will). The owner advises she is continuing to adjust her stock and inventory to meet the needs of local vapers. I only have three recommendations for VaporEssence: 1) get a bigger sign – especially one that sits perpendicular to the 72 so your store is easier to find, 2) get better signs inside the building so that customers dont have to look hard for your signage or the directions at the front of the building, and 3) secure the vape bar so that it doesnt move, because right now its a safety hazard and the last thing you want is to injure a customer or be sued by an injured customer. We had a pleasure meeting the owner and experiencing the store. I hope everyone in the North Alabama vaping community takes the chance to swing by VaporEssence and take a look around.
