Today well talk about specks and logs and the whole damn - TopicsExpress

Today well talk about specks and logs and the whole damn forest. Now as we all know, nothing is constant in life . Especially weight . I know alot of women who constantly battle (and lose ) with it. I also know many men who should at least join this war but they wont. Anyway .... I own a mirror. And clothes which no longer fit so believe me I know Im a bit on the chubby side now. What you need to know is I DONT CARE. I will whine about my weight all day long but believe me , my self confidence -which I have worked on since a bullying incident in class 3- remains unaffected . So let me speak to those whose idea of a greeting is - gosh Sly kwani unakula nini siku hizi?. First of all , not that its any of your business, lakini nakula mali yangu na mama yangu na watu wengi sana hii Nairobi, hata yako ukitaka tutakula. Nonsense. Its especially worse when it comes from a plus size woman. Like the other day I met a woman clearly a few pounds heavier than me and she started shrieking -waaahhhh umekuwa m-round! And I looked at her and wondered if she owns a mirror. Granted , misery loves company ...I rejoice when Mercy gains weight. But if I dont know you like that, why is my weight an issue to you? And then it gets worse. They start giving you diet and exercise advice. And show you the lemon tea they carry everywhere to drink all day. Look, I dont mean to be rude here , but if you are 6 dress sizes bigger than I am , then shut up and drink your lemon water. Remove the whole forest in your eye before checking the speck in mine. Its disappointing because as a plus size person I expect you to be more sensitive than the skinny ones. I mean, we are sharing a struggle here. What am I trying to say? Unless you are someones doctor , their weight is none of your business. Now lets all go have a cookie.
