Today when I was walking away from the beach (Hietsu) I did - TopicsExpress

Today when I was walking away from the beach (Hietsu) I did something Id NEVER think I would dare/could do: a fat guy (probably around +130kg) came jogging down the street. Or I dont know if you can call it jogging - his feet were barely lifting of the ground so it looked more like some sort of rythmic swagging walk. But he sure was trying! You could see from his face that this was the maximun pace that he possibly could perform with his physique and he was in pain - exercise-induced pain. I just thought to myself:Great that he is running, he probably got tired of being fat and sad, and wanted to change his life. I hope he does not give up on his project just because of the pain and the seemingly endless road he has got to travel before being something close to the norm healthy-fit. All this happened really fast, I noticed the guy probably 5-6m in front of me as he was running the opposite direction I was going. I decided to act. I put up my hand to high-five the guy, and he reacted by reflex and high-fived me, and as I could see his clearly confused face I gave him a thumbs up and a smile as encouragement for his effort. I hope I made a difference in his life and motivated him to keep going. Im allways glad to see someone obese doing hard work jogging or going to the gym. Some people might look at them and laugh, but I just think its great that they are trying to change. It takes a fat person tons more courage to show up at the gym with their physique and being stared at while they work out. Now I feel good inside :)
