[Todays Bible meditation describes how faith worked to cure Sarah, Abrahams wife, from being barren to having many descendants. Hebrews 11:11-12] By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, (Gen 17:19, Gen 18:11-Gen 18:14, Gen 21:2; Gen 20) even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised. Therefore there was born even of one man, and him as good as dead at that, as many descendants as the stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. (Gen 15:5; 22:17; 32:12) [Gen 20 says that Abraham was told to pray for the people of Abimelech king of Gerar whom Abraham had deceived. The prayer made the barren women of Gerar, including Sarah, fertile to have children with their own husband.]
