Todays Devotion Topic: Ashamed To Go To Them. Text: Ezra 8: 22 I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies on the road, because we had told the king, The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who forsake him. Amen. We have spoken a lot about the living God we serve to many since we came to know Him...His marvelous works and ability to save, heal, restore and provide for all His children. We have also spoken to others about His sovereignty and Lordship over and above every situation. Now, because all the above testimony is true of our God, creation are in eager expectation of the manifestation of the sons of God. However, as we await that glorious moment, our present situation may seem challenging and questionable to the world. We could actually be in need of a breakthrough in every aspect of our lives right now (finances, jobs, marriages, families, etc) In fact the thought of seeking help outside Gods provisions keeps lingering in our minds. We tend to envy the prosperity of the wicked which today is, but no more by tomorrow. Our eagerness to measure up their standard sometimes makes us do things that are contrary to the Word of God. But brethren if God does not help us, where can anyone get us help? Let us keep our trust in the one who has called for He is faithful and will not allow you to bow in shame.
