Todays Devotional 20:10:2013: God Will Deliver You “David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear, He will deliver me out of the hand of this philistine” 1 Samuel 17:37 KJV Saul and his army kept on hiding until a young man who had developed a relationship with God came. Beloved, as long as you refuse to develop a relationship with God, you will always run from the enemy. David had contacted God in the backside of the desert and was, therefore, not afraid of any foe. David was the one who said “One thing have I desired of the Lord that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to enquire in His temple (Psalm 27:4KJV). Just one thing, the most important thing in the life of David was to dwell in God’s presence. Little wonder he could confront Goliath. That was a man that knows God. David knew that God is a very present help in time of trouble. (Psalm 46:1 KJV). It was David that taught us that many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. (Psalm 34:19 KJV) David knew that somehow God would deliver him. The truth is that the more you know God the more you will discover who you are in Christ and the more confident you become in Him. Daniel 11:32 says “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Seek to know God more and more each day because only God can let you know who you are and what He has made available to you. The bible says you are created to have dominion here on earth but you can never be strong to do this if you handle God casually. A lot of believers have become cheap victims in the hands of the devil because they are too casual in their relationship with God. Little harassment from the devil and they turn their back on God and stop what God has planned for their life. They don’t know that our God is mighty to save. I declare to you today that no longer will the enemy eat your lunch! The enemy will not determine your future neither will he destroy your destiny. All that God has made available to you shall be made manifest and everyday of your life you will taste the goodness of God. You are a winner always. I bless you in the name of the Lord.
