Just think, while driving down the road God speaks to us with different billboards to get our attention. There wed be with a mapped out message straight from God. That would be pretty cool, right? ·What if He used something more subtle, like a gentle rap on the side of the head whenever we veer off course? Im afraid wed all be walking around with knots on our heads from all that rapping activity. How does God speak to us? Through His Word – 2 Timothy 3:16 If we will rely on God’s word for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness it will be profitable for us. Do you believe God’s Word is directly from God’s mouth? Through A Still Small Voice – John 16:13 The Spirit’s ministry of guiding and speaking to us will lead us into all truth. Have you been listening or are you too busy? Through Other People –2 Timothy 2:21 Have you ever been speaking to someone and they say the exact thing you need to hear? It is likely that God was speaking to you through other people and they didn’t even know it. Have you asked for godly advice from a Christian friend lately? Through Life Circumstances – Romans 8:28 Never take life circumstances at face value. No matter how bad, or confusing or hopeless they may look, God often uses the ordinary to communicate His extraordinary love even when we don’t fully understand. Has He spoken to you through a difficult circumstance this week? Through Prayer - Hebrews 4:16 Stop whatever you are doing right now and “draw near” to the very throne of God with confidence, to receive mercy and to find grace to help you in your time of need today.
