Todays Devotional Listen to me, all that has happened to you, every ugly happenstance that seemed a stain on your destiny…all of them happened because of a glorious destiny! Listen to this carefully, the devil only fights what he fears! The intensity of the fiery trial you have been through is a pragmatic indication of the greatness that lied ahead of you! Do you remember Jesus Christ? As soon as his star shone at birth, the devil moved in through Herod to try and destroy him! Remember Joyce Meyer? Her father slept with her several times as a teenager, but she wouldn’t allow that to stop her! Today, she is a mender of souls in the very area she was once broken. The devil has a way of locating a bright destiny, he is not all-knowing or omniscient, but he is vastly experienced having been around for thousands of years! Now, when you are up against a devil that is experienced with an organised hierarchy of demonic powers and principalities, who can see you but you cannot see, it is the highest level of foolishness to say that you don’t need God here on earth! Let the former things go. Let the old habits die. Leave that partner in sin. That is how to let go. Leave that colleague alone who is not your spouse. Stop the amorous expressions of feelings in the office and focus on your spouse. That is how the new life will burgeon. Stop living in that guy’s place who is not yet your husband. Forget about whats happened; dont keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. Im about to do something brand–new. Its bursting out! Dont you see it? There it is! Im making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands (Isaiah 43:18-19 Message) God is about to do something new in your life, but don’t keep going over old history. He tells you to be alert! Stay away from sin. Don’t go back there again. Then He says be present. Don’t be missing in action. Read your Bible daily. Use this devotional daily. Cooperate with my plan. I see a brand new thing that God is doing in your life. He will make you to forget the shame of your youth. It is a new day for you. Be committed to your spiritual progress. You see it now. God doesn’t hate you. It is the devil that hates you and wants you to hate God. But it is foolhardy to quarrel with your maker. You don’t quarrel with the Almighty, you align yourself and let the process of a glorious life emerge in you!
