Todays Good Word.....Lord Lead Us To The Rock. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. Psalm 62:2 There are times we find ourselves surged over, submerged, engulfed and inundated in emotional confusion, hurts and disappointment, deadlines, financial burdens, illness, one trial after another and the list goes on and on. The waves keep coming and we find ourselves sinking and being swallowed up by the tides. We fight and fight, strategize, cry and at times we want to give up. The pressure seem like it’s too much to bear. Remember No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it 1 Cor 10:13. But when entrenched so much in the world it is hard to do that. We get into the dog eat dog competition and wonder why God is not helping. Jesus says the same thing in Matthews 11:28-29 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light., when your heart, mind, and the inner depths of your soul is overwhelmed and flooded with physical and mental distress, when it feels like you are carrying weights that’s too heavy, when the demands of others and burdensome; Jesus instructs us to come unto Him. Listen, as long as you think you can do it, you can pray for an hour a day, read you bible for another half an hour a day; go to church five times a week and get your way..you are hitting your head against the wall. My friends Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. That simply means that unless you empty yourself of looking to your own means and worldly help , you can never find peace. IF your heart is filled with worldy desires and dog eat dog stuff; then there is no room for Gods blessings correct? Empty your heart of that stuff and watch what happens. It is a rats race and everyone wants to be the number one rat. Stop and come to the Rock. What’s at the Rock? -- Rest is at the Rock. Jesus has promised - I will give you rest. Jesus wants to press the pause button and refresh your mind. The rest Jesus is speaking of is to cause you cease from any movement or mental anguish in order for you to recover and collect your strength. (Is. 40:31). The Rock is the place of refreshing, Healing is at the Rock. The rock is the place where Jesus wants to gently peel or scrape the edges of a wound to promote healing. There’s a Rock that higher than your issues. It’s time to press the PAUSE button! Visit the Rock and He will prepare you to press the play button of life. If you continue without making a visit to the Rock you will be rendered powerless by the excessive and abundance of perplexities and trouble in your life. The Rock came to take your yokes and heavy burdens. We all wear yokes of one kind or another but the Rock has a yoke that’s easy and His burdens are light. When your heart is overwhelmed God will lead you to the Rock the higher than I. Jesus is bidding that you come and receive what He has to offer at the Rock. Would you humble yourself today and come? Blessing and have a great day and remember Jesus loves you and died for ME and you. -mark.d https://youtube/watch?v=OmHBj_WeBmY
