PERMIT COORDINATOR I | PERMITS & CONSTRUCTION: The Washtenaw County Road Commission is seeking candidates for the position of Permit Coordinator I in Permits & Construction. An employee in this job performs the review of permit applications / plans and preparation / issuance of permits using judgment in making decisions in order to apply Road Commission procedures and regulations. Other work may include performing technical quality control inspection activities and a variety of commercial vehicle inspection and enforcement activities. Perform related duties as required. This is an intermediate level position. The employee works in a developing capacity in performing job duties. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three (3) years or more experience involving construction inspection and/or administration of permit activities; review of permit applications / plans, preparation / issuance of permits and technical quality control inspection activities. Additional experience may include performing commercial vehicle inspection and enforcement activities. Requires possession of an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Surveying Technology, or its equivalent. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
