Todays Gospel Gem: Whats So Important About The Church? There is not an institution in existence more important to MSN than the church. Why? 1. Christ is the head of the church (Ephesians 1:22,23). 2. Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:22-27). 3. The church was purposed, planned and promised by God (Ephesians 2:20; 3:10,11). 4. The church was foretold by the prophets (Isaiah 2:1-4: Daniel 2:44). 5. The church was purchased by the blood god Christ (Acts 20:28). 6. The church is the pillar and ground of the truth (1 Timothy 3:15). 7. God receives glory in the church ( Ephesians 3:20,21). The church is divine in origin, mission, and destiny. The church is the body of christ into which sinners are baptized (Ephesians 1:22; 1 Corinthians 12:13). Therefore, the church is essential, important and of primary concern to people who are serious about salvation (Acts 2:47). The churches of Christ salute you (Romans 16:16).
