Todays Horse Story for the Month of Giving: Branigan O Blue has - TopicsExpress

Todays Horse Story for the Month of Giving: Branigan O Blue has the honor of being this years Christmas Horse! Shes one of the luckier horses in BEHS. In 2009, her dam (True Blue) and several other horses were removed from negligent owners and placed with BEHS. We didnt know that True Blue was pregnant right away, but it soon became obvious. Since True Blue hadnt had any kind of good care up to that point, her foster home worked hard to make sure she was in good shape in time for foaling and then provided for everything the wee Branigan needed when she was born. She was handled well and fed well, and she didnt know the struggles her dam and her dams herd had known. But things could have been different for Branigan if she hadnt been fortunate enough to land at BEHS. She could have easily been born into the starvation her dam knew. We need your donations to help others like Branigan have a safe place to land! Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society is a 501c3 equine welfare organization that helps horses throughout Texas and beyond. Each day until Christmas, we’re going to share the story of one of the horses we have helped this year. As you get to know the horses of BEHS, I hope you’ll find it in your heart to make a donation to help us help them! Your funds will enable us to save horses from neglect, abuse, and abandonment and find them new homes. You can mail your donation to BEHS, PO Box 632, College Station, TX 77841 or send a donation via Paypal at https://paypal/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=SYT2Y5ZPDF648 Anyone who donates $25 or more will get a complimentary 12 month membership which includes access to our email lists, discounted (and possibly free) admission to some events, and makes you a part of the Bluebonnet Family! All donors will receive a thank you card in the mail with a photo of one of our horses. If you want to help but cannot make a financial contribution, donations of new or used horse tack, farm/ranch items, horse-themed home décor, art or jewelry are always appreciated. These items can be sold at our 2015 Bluebonnet Horse Expo to help raise funds. Or consider becoming a foster home or volunteer. Whatever your talent, Bluebonnet has a place for you. We can work together to make a difference.
