(Wednesday, 4th Maghar, NS 546; November 19th, 2014) Salok Ma 3 || सलोक मः ३ ॥ Salok, Third Mehl: Dhrig Eh Aasaa Dooje Bhaav Kee Jo Mohi Maaeiaa Chit Laae || ध्रिगु एह आसा दूजे भाव की जो मोहि माइआ चितु लाए ॥ Cursed are the hopes in the love of duality; they tie the consciousness to love and attachment to Maya. Har Sukh Palhar Tiaagiaa Naam Visaar Dukh Paae || हरि सुखु पल्हरि तिआगिआ नामु विसारि दुखु पाए ॥ One who forsakes the peace of the Lord in exchange for straw, and forgets the Naam, suffers in pain. Manmukh Agiaanee Andhule Janam Marehi Fir Aavai Jaae || मनमुख अगिआनी अंधुले जनमि मरहि फिरि आवै जाए ॥ The ignorant self-willed manmukhs are blind. They are born, only to die again, and continue coming and going. Kaaraj Sidh N Hovnee Ant Gaeiaa Pachhutaae || कारज सिधि न होवनी अंति गइआ पछुताए ॥ Their affairs are not resolved, and in the end, they depart, regretting and repenting. Jis Karam Hovai Tis Satgur Milai So Har Har Naam Dhiaae || जिसु करमु होवै तिसु सतिगुरु मिलै सो हरि हरि नामु धिआए ॥ One who is blessed with the Lords Grace, meets the True Guru; he alone meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. Naam Rate Jann Sadaa Sukh Paaeinih Jann Naanak Tin Bal Jaae ||1|| नामि रते जन सदा सुखु पाइन्हि जन नानक तिन बलि जाए ॥१॥ Imbued with the Naam, the humble servants of the Lord find a lasting peace; servant Nanak is a sacrifice to them. ||1|| Ma 3 || मः ३ ॥ Third Mehl: Aasaa Mansaa Jag Mohanee Jin Mohiaa Sansaar || आसा मनसा जगि मोहणी जिनि मोहिआ संसारु ॥ Hope and desire entice the world; they entice the whole universe. Sabh Ko Jamm Ke Cheere Vich Hai Jetaa Sabh Aakaar || सभु को जम के चीरे विचि है जेता सभु आकारु ॥ Everyone, and all that has been created, is under the domination of Death. Hukamee Hee Jamm Lagadaa So Oubarai Jis Bakhasai Kartaar || हुकमी ही जमु लगदा सो उबरै जिसु बखसै करतारु ॥ By the Hukam of the Lords Command, Death seizes the mortal; he alone is saved, whom the Creator Lord forgives. Naanak Gur Parsaadee Ehu Mann Taan Tarai Jaa Chhoddai Ahankaar || नानक गुर परसादी एहु मनु तां तरै जा छोडै अहंकारु ॥ O Nanak, by Gurus Grace, this mortal swims across, if he abandons his ego. Aasaa Mansaa Maare Niraas Hoe Gur Sabadee Veechaar ||2|| आसा मनसा मारे निरासु होइ गुर सबदी वीचारु ॥२॥ Conquer hope and desire, and remain unattached; contemplate the Word of the Gurus Shabad. ||2|| Paurrhee || पउड़ी ॥ Paurrhee: Jithai Jaaeeai Jagat Mehi Tithai Har Saaee || जिथै जाईऐ जगत महि तिथै हरि साई ॥ Wherever I go in this world, I see the Lord there. Agai Sabh Aape Vartadaa Har Sachaa Niaaee || अगै सभु आपे वरतदा हरि सचा निआई ॥ In the world hereafter as well, the Lord, the True Judge Himself, is pervading and permeating everywhere. Koorrhiaaraa Ke Muh Fittakeeahi Sach Bhagat Vaddiaaee || कूड़िआरा के मुह फिटकीअहि सचु भगति वडिआई ॥ The faces of the false are cursed, while the true devotees are blessed with glorious greatness. Sach Saahib Sachaa Niaao Hai Sir Nindak Chhaaee || सचु साहिबु सचा निआउ है सिरि निंदक छाई ॥ True is the Lord and Master, and true is His justice. The heads of the slanderers are covered with ashes.
