Todays Mandolia update: Staples may very well come out tomorrow or the next day, since the incision is healing really nicely. Shes debating doing a Bic shave on the whole head just to even stuff up, but methinks that wont actually fly. Did have a chat with the speech pathologist today (though she doesnt remember it) and could spontaneously provide (by pointing on the calendar app) to the date she had her surgery and todays date, so confusion level is quite a bit lower than yesterday. She selected her meals for tomorrow by herself (had already been picked up by the time I got there this afternoon), and actually beat my score in Monster Busters (the dirty rotter). We went for a double walk around the unit and towards the end of my visit she and dad were working on trying to see only through her left eye. She might get a patch for tomorrow just to make sure she doesnt wind up with a lazy eye - but its okay, the nurse has offered to draw a skull and crossbones on it for her.
