Todays Music Clip of the Day features an instrument Im sure most people have never seen or heard of, the Chapman Stick, named after its inventor, Emmett Chapman. It seems to have 8 - 12 strings depending on the model, which are a combination of guitar strings and bass strings. The instrument is played using a technique sometimes used on guitar and bass called two-hand-tapping. Here is Bob Culbertson playing Bach Toccata and Fugue in D minor on that instrument. In the first comment Ill post another video of someone else playing it in more of a funky style. Note: I chose this as the clip of the day because I just met someone who plays this locally, Ms. Reed Urie.
