Todays Political News For Indiana - INDIANAPOLIS – Election Day is now less than a month away and time is running out to make sure your voice is heard. The deadline to register to vote is Monday and this year, there’s a new way to register on your smartphone. The app is called “Indiana voters.” When you find it, it’ll have the seal of the state of Indiana on it and it’s free for both Android and Apple users. The Indiana Secretary of State’s Office says this app is designed to help Hoosiers not only register to vote, but confirm your registration, see who’s on your specific ballot and get driving directions to your individual polling place. You can still register to vote online or in person at any BMV branch, as well as your county clerk’s office. In Marion County, that’s inside the city county building. Another option that’s still out there is to send your registration by mail. It just has to be postmarked by Monday. If you’re already registered, you can vote absentee beginning Tuesday.
