Todays Prayer March 17, 2014 Good Monday morning my dear sweet Lord! In the holy name of Christ Jesus, here I am, to praise You, to exalt You. God, You are so good. Throughout eternity, Your plans are bigger than I could ever imagine. I dream dreams but You fulfill promises. And You always honor Your promises. You are sovereign and You control every aspect of Your creation. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-31) And yet, even with everything under Your perfect guidance, You love us and desire us to come to You in prayer. You created us in Your image. You gave us sufficient intelligence to survive. You gave us the desire to seek You, but You also gave us the free will to reject You. I pray for those who are ignorant of the Scriptures! Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.” (Matthew 22:29) Lord, Your power is so great; I believe You can do anything necessary for Your will to be done. And this is why I believe Your grace is all I need. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:9) I thank You, dear Lord, that the power of Christ has changed my heart! Please continue to sanctify me until the end. Your love knows no bounds, and You always look at my heart, not necessarily my appearance. Nevertheless, I know I must abstain from all appearance of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:22) Because You love me, You will discipline me and Your Holy Spirit will convict my heart and speak to my mind to keep me in line. Thats how I know Im Your child. How do I know these things? Because You have given me this assurance straight from Your Word: These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13) I know that You can change me and make me more like Jesus, if I will agree and not fight against Your will. I am willing Lord. Mold me and make me into that precious child and Christian that You want me to be. In Jesus’ most precious name I pray, amen.
