Todays #Tango Truism 750: (soft fact) Tango is a thinking mans (and womans) game. Hows that ? The demographic for those people that seemingly acquire the dance faster and are up and running with it is pretty interesting. The men break down in this order as 1.) Engineer (Software, Hardware, Electrical). 2.) Scientific Research (Physics, Biomechanical, Math). 3.) Doctor (Dentist, General Practice, GYN, Surgeon). The women break down like this 1.) Therapist (Psychological, Physical). 2.) Doctor (GP, Surgeon). 3.) Science (Math, Engineering). Notice that theres a lack of certain mental professions going on ? Lawyers, Accountants, Fireman, Policeman, Administrators (any variety).... Strange that Artist isnt on either list. There may be a reason for that, that after the tango bug bites (hard) that tango opens up the doorway for other forms of expression. ©2014 Tango Truisms. Notation: There are exceptions to every rule, and as was stated this is a soft fact. Meaning ? That you see the same professions over and over again coming to the form as those noted above. To be fair, there are quite a few lawyers in tango, but most are not courtroom litigators of the variety that you see on tv dramas.
