Todays bible verse for meditation I (LORD) am your shield, you exceedingly great reward. Genesis 15:1 Dear brother and sister, Greetings in Jesus name. Abraham returned with his brother Lot and his belongings (Gen.14:16). While he was returning the Sodomite King appreciated and gave gifts to Abraham. But Abraham refused to get the gifts from the King of Sodomite, rather he is looking for the gifts of God from heaven who gave a promise to him. At that time only God appeared to Abraham and said, that I will be your reward. The one who promised him fulfilled His promise in Abrahams life (Gen.24:35). Secondly, Ruth never turned to her home town Moab. God of Israel rewarded her (Ruth 2:12). Thirdly, Mordecai guarded his kings life so he was rewarded by God. (Est. 8:15). While reading this passage, surely there is a reward for the righteous people like Abraham before the God Most High, the possessor of heaven and earth refused the honor which was given by the worldly man, hence God rewarded him. Likewise let us also follow Abraham life. Like Ruth let us cling on to the God of Israel. Same way let us guard others life like Mordecai. May the God of Abraham be our exceedingly great reward. May the Triune God bless you and reward you.
