Todays hospital visit. Brilliant day at the hospital. The surgeon couldn’t believe the progress I’d made. Driving and getting back in the swimming pool. He’s deferred the second operation, because of this quick progress, and is changing the procedure for the lumbar operation. Instead of cutting open each vertebrae and screwing plates in place. This time , he will drill a hole in each vertebrae , and insert a tool to scrape away the calcium from the inside ! ( It’s all a bit too clever for me !) So I was thrilled with the meeting. The operation should now be in June. Even better was the meeting in the urology department, where they assured me, the problems caused by that last cancer operation, can be rectified without further surgery. So ! There will be no incontinent pads in my chest of drawers thank you !! I couldn’t believe the instructions she gave me, to strengthen the bladder muscles. But when i got home, went straight into the method advised.... and it worked !! A case of me being in charge of my bladder, and not the other way round !! Excellent day all the way round Cheers Toni
