Todays prepping tip: Keeping a bit of cordage nearby is always a good idea, and 550 lb test nylon paracord is a staple of pretty much every bug out bag Ive encountered. But lots of people buy these paracord bracelets just to have a little bit of the stuff literally right on them. The problem is that the usual way these are tied is known as the cobra stitch or Solomon bar, which is basically useless if you actually need your cordage without sitting down for 20 minutes to unravel the knots. The simple tip in this video, obvious though it may be once you sit down and think about it a bit, makes the cobra stitch come apart very quickly. Dont buy one—make your next paracord bracelet yourself using this method. Itll save you some money as well as give you something as functional as it is fashionable. Oh, and yes, the first several moments of the video are indeed just a static image pretty much confirming this guys bachelor status along with a voiceover… ;) But I figure were watching to learn how to tie knots, not how to clean houses. :P youtu.be/rhFkcMZe9kg (Now if I could just find myself some hardware in surgical stainless… My skin has a contact allergy to nickel.)
