Todays question is from Christy: My daughter has been at a school that specializes in remediating dyslexia for 2 years. She is transitioning into public school this year for 8th grade. We have done Kumon for math help since she was in 4th grade and it has been a great tool for her but the word problems are a struggle. The public math curriculum is word problem based and I fear that this year is going to be nothing but battles. Any suggestions on dealing with word based math for a dyslexic middle schooler??
