Todays session. Did you know that one of the truly first Full Face Transplants in the U.S. was done on a victim, not of a dog attack, a vehicle accident or fire etc? It was in fact Domestic Violence. Her name is Connie Culp, victim of a close range, direct shotgun blast to the face. Behind the trigger was her at the time husband that she was in the process of leaving. To see her before and after pics and to read her story is a combo of heart and gut wrenching experience. It truly justifies our terrors and fears as victims when we explain we could not just leave as those out there so flagrantly put it when asking why we dont or didnt, or more gaggingly put it if it were me... or I would have...! We are justified as victims when we unfairly have to hide in fear of our lives. It is so important to know the dangers and trust your instincts. Please to all victims, get out, but be as safe as you can. You are not obligated to tell your abuser anything. Your fears are justified and you have every right to do for your life.
