Todays update coming up. First up - Rich. He is doing really, really well and Dr W is very pleased. His neutrophils had come up again since yesterday - now zero point 2. Much, much better than zero point zero Now been 4 days since he has had a blood transfusion so that is a definite improvement. My precious girl is still in Intensive Care and not in a very good way at all. Condition hasnt really changed since last night. Kev and I were only allowed to stay for 10 minutes, she is absolutely exhausted and rest for her was important than us being there. She wasnt allowed to talk either as it is too much of a strain on her. We were both upset when we left her, and poor Kev was told that she probably wouldnt be going to Perth. I am so upset for him as he was so looking forward to taking her away with him. Will just have to wait and see, but looking at her now and how serious it is, I really cannot see it happening. I went to see Rich first about 9am as I like to be there when Dr W does his rounds. Bought Rich some cappuccino packets this morning on my way in and he really enjoyed it with his raisin toast. When Kev arrived we both went up to see Lani. Rich wasnt allowed to go because of the risks involved for him. Once we saw her, we both went back to Rich and had something to eat that I took in with me. Then Kev went back to work. He is going in again tonight once he gets home from work and fixes up Sasha. He said Sasha was walking all around the house last night looking for Lani when he got home. She ended up sleeping on the bed on Lanis clothes. I am not going in again today as I really do need to get some rest. Feeling so darned drained but no wonder really I guess. Back in again tomorrow and hopefully she will be better and moved to a ward. Then she can have visitors. I was so thankful Leasa and Andy came in last night. I had a good cry on Andys shoulders while Leasa and Kev went in there. Had another one today when we got back to Richs room. Better out than in I guess. All the nurses know about Lani. Amazing how word travels in the hospital. Well, off now to have a cuppa. Will give an other update tomorrow.
