Todays update on Dad Troia. Last night Dad had problems with his breathing and he had to go from the oxygen tube to a mask to keep in the 90ies. This morning he was able to be just on the tubes. He ate most of his breakfast. When his primary doctor came in he told us that due to Dads blood work he felt he should receive a blood transfusion. This will help perk him up and he will feel better. Dad is working hard on using the tools from respiratory. By doing the breathing exercises help expand his lungs and helps bring up the infection. We had a good meeting with the palliative care doctor and the nurse. They discussed with Dad his goals, wishes and directives. Sarita, Cecilia and I were with Dad when he met with this team. The cardiologist said Dad has no changes and he agreed with his primary for Dad to receive the blood transfusion. The pulmonologist stated that he was glad that Dad was using the tools he ordered and was glad he was just on the tubes receiving his oxygen. We had some improvements today we are still not out of the woods. Lets hope the medications they are giving him will take hold and he will continue on getting better. Your prayers and working.
