Today’s P & W thought: Ill Be still and Know that You are God The holidays are an emotional time for all of us. Some holidays are spent missing lost loved ones, or feeling depressed with our current life situation. Other holiday seasons bring us joy and laughter with friends and family. In each season, it is important to make the time to BE STILL. The Psalmist in Psalm 46:10a is pretty clear that during this time of being still, we are able to know God and grow deeper with him... Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10a Think back over previous holidays. Can you recall when you were present enough to truly soak up the blessings of God? We are no different than children in this regard. Just as children go from present to present, we fill our schedules with events and parties. Dear Friend, I encourage you this holiday to carve out some time for yourself to be still. This might look like a walk, or a cup of coffee by yourself at a coffee shop. Just take a few deep breaths and simply BE STILL. Soak it up and know that He is God, and He loves you!!! I pray that this will allow you to be filled wit the presence of God, and to GIVE back to your loved ones this Christmas. Brothers and sisters, I hope you will take time to be still this holiday season, and that in doing so you and your loved ones may experience the utmost joy in Christ.
