Today’s Reflection ON A SMALL SCALE, the artist experiences - TopicsExpress

Today’s Reflection ON A SMALL SCALE, the artist experiences in the “Aha!” moment what the pilgrim knows on a larger scale. Reality is more than what can be perceived through the senses, and grace – like creativity – abounds. In the pilgrim’s illuminative moment, God breaks through ordinary life to reveal a deeper, everlasting reality. The pilgrim becomes one with the God of Love as time appears to stand still. This kind of experience opens us to a larger reality than we have known previously. For a little while, in the eternal now, all the barriers of time, space, and ego that separate us from God and one another dissolve. We lose any sense of where self leaves off and Creator begins. United with God and all of God’s creation, we are lost to self and found in God. We get a glimpse of grace woven through every leaf, floating in each oxygen molecule, and emanating from the heart of even the most unlovely. This kind of grace holds us when life beats us down. And we find we are not destroyed. - Karla M. Kincannon Creativity and Divine Surprise From pages 161-162 of Creativity and Divine Surprise: Finding the Place of Your Resurrection by Karla M.
