Today’s feast honors St. Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus. It stands as a model for the extraordinary power of the Risen Christ, the grace that comes through His merciful love, and the oneness of all believers in the body of Christ. St. Paul’s conversion highlights that we are called to be radically transformed, new people after our encounter with Christ. As Ananias instructed St. Paul to do after our life has been renewed, we are called to rise and witness to the Just One’s divine power. Todays Gospel Reading: Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. They will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18
