Today’s post is about ‘Tire Flips Tire flips are a fun and challenging movement to put into your workouts now and then that will work your entire body. A few tips: Feet - Dont start too close to the tire (video 1). Get your feet back a bit so you can get your hips low and have a better shin angle to drive with. Back - With your hips low, you are able to get a more neutral spine position and then perform a diagonal drive with the body into the tire. Dont just try to lift the tire straight up. Transition - Once you have the tire passed the knees, use your hips and one knee to explode and transition the tire to the upper body (video 2). Finish - Once the tire is up on its side, simply use your upper body to push it over to prepare for the next rep. *Tire flips could be considered an advanced movement...please use caution when performing flips.
