Todd Railroad Plan: Like the Marshall Plan If you take one side of I-5 interstate highway system and use it to make a train track from Canada to Mexico and use all the rivers and streams and use hydroelectric power and wind turbines and make all the highways since Americans own the highway systems, you could bring back trains and since small damns could be used and all the rives made to make an unlimited amount of electricity, this would in fact end for the most part the foreign dependency for oil/peak oil except for ships for overseas trade and military air planes. For cars, we could make hybred trains and make trolley track cars that hooked into the ground instead of the overhead power lines and use radar in the cars so they never crash and maybe use tracks like a train for the cars and a U/U type of tire that goes on and off road and on tracks like a train and this could work for rest of world somewhat. So car and oil companies won’t see a disruption of profit, leave all big companies intact but change car companies into train and hydroelectric companies. What I am trying to say is leave the rich in power and don’t harm the USA economy, just shift focus of companies to environmentally friendly practices over time that would use hydroelectricity as the main power source. The hydroelectric power from small dams could be used to make a world wide train systems using already existing car roads and highways to make electric train system like Europe. Russian has a ton of rivers and hydroelectric power could be made there and sent from Russian to Africa and Asian and India, if technology permitted. South America has tons of rivers too and could use them to make hydroelectric power. Rivers and gravity could be used in small damns to make an unlimited amount of power. If in the old days, people used wood wheat mills from rivers to make water powered mills to mill flower, why can’t we use gravity and wind and water to create electricity from old fashion technology. Water powered wheat mills could be used and why use steel if cheap wood could be used and replaced on small water power dams or ideas like that— think cheep and easily replaceable. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watermill
