Todd Road is closed: The Toms River Police Department is currently on the scene of one vehicle traffic crash that knocked down a utility pole causing live wires to fall in the roadway. At 9:12 am, Elizabeth Carmen, 20, of Windless Drive in Manahawkin, struck the pole as she was driving her vehicle East on Todd Road. The 2008 Mazda Tribute left the roadway to the right just prior to Racoon Drive. Ms. Carmen was treated at the scene for a minor injury and did not need to be hospitalized. The roadway is expected to be closed for at least five hours while utility crews make the necessary repairs. The crash remains under the investigation of Patrolman Terry Warren of the Traffic Safety Unit
