Tolerance doesnt mean acceptance. I tolerate crying babies at the airport. I tolerate people yaking incessantly in front of me at the grocery store. I tolerate someone unfairly getting the promotion I deserved and I tolerate dumb loudmouths who think they know everything. I tolerate laws I dislike or disagree with. But it doesnt mean I have to be happy with those things. It doesnt mean I cant say Hey. I dont like this. All it means is that you are safe to do things I dont like. You are safe to say things I dont like. And I have no right to punch your lights out unless you invade my personal PHYSICAL space. And hell, I might think youre a giant douche. But I will defend your right to be a douche to the brink of death, man. Because without that, we cease to be human beings.
