Tom Humphreys retirement lunch at the Knoxville News Sentinel was a hit. Similar photos have been posted elsewhere but they are worth repeating. Charlie Daniels cartoon, a variation of the statue of Andrew Jackson on a horse, sets the tone -- Humphreys on the hill, not over the hill. John North, Toms editor on right handing him the cartoon, tells Tom he really doesnt want him to retire but since he is, the cartoon is a token of appreciation of 40 years of work for KNS. Donna Colburn, to suspendered Jim Ballochs left, organized the meal.
