Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will return July 29 with their first new studio album in four years. Its called Hypnotic Eye, and if you purchase a ticket to the bands upcoming tour, youll receive a copy of the new disc as part of the purchase. Hypnotic Eye will be available in a variety of different formats, including as a one- or two-LP vinyl set. Starting June 3, you can pre-order the album on vinyl, CD or Blu-ray via TomPetty and Amazon. If you pre-order the digital version on iTunes and Amazon, youll also receive an instant download of an album track. Now, about that tour: it kicks off August 3 in San Diego, California, with Steve Winwood as the special guest. The schedule includes a first for the veteran act: on Labor Day weekend, theyll play their first-ever gig at Bostons Fenway Park.
