Standing outside, sky clad, bathed in the light of the full moon. I can see the outline of the trees against the dark sky, the crisp lines of a deeper darkness on the ground of the shadows of their branches from the moon.The world is in varying shades a darkness and light only hinting of colors,a slight breeze, my skin tightening from the cold, for a moment I feel the illusion of peace. I wish I could carry this feeling with me always. Maybe when I am old and alone. It is a brief moment like this that I understand solitude.
