Tomato rasam For d rasam Curry leaves (a few) 1 pod of garlic (peeled- preferably d bigger variety (malai poondu) 5-6 tomatoes (cut) A small ball of tamarind (can soak tamarind in hot water for a 5 mins & can extract d juice quickly) Fresh coriander Salt Rasam Masala Half a tsp of cumin (jeera) 2 tsps of pepper corns 3 dry red chillies 10-12 garlic The above should b coarsely ground Method : • Heat oil add the curry leaves • Add the coarsely ground rasam masala n fry a little • Add the full pod of garlic & the cut tomatoes n two cups of water…. Let it simmer to half • Then add the tamarind juice extract & more water if needed • Give it a boil…add fresh coriander leaves • Serve hot with rice
