Tomorrow, January 26 Sunday Service at 11 a.m. “How Do We Talk to Our Children?” Marta Caminero-Santangelo and Worship Associate Lara Wilson We know that one of our greatest challenges, not just as parents but as an intergenerational community, is to keep the lines of communication open with our children as they grow. We want our children to be able to express to us what is going on in their lives, their hopes and fears, and what they really think and feel about the world and themselves, and this becomes more and more challenging as they move towards independence and their own personhood. How do we, as a community, create relationships with the children and youth in that community? What is the impact of the stories we pass on to our children? How do we make the children an integral part of that community by listening to them? And what do we learn-- how do we grow spiritually-- when we listen to our (collective) children? Please join us for an exploration of how we can strive to build rich, learning relationships with our kids.
