Tomorrow Uncle Mick comes to take off Dudes shoes for the last time as he is now heading for permanent retirement. Over winter he has really slowed and stiffened up so it time for his riding days to end. I have had the privilege of learning to barrel race on this legend of a rodeo horse and words cant describe just how much fun and joy he has given me, he often saved my arse and always scooped me back up never heading off with out my butt back in the saddle. He always gave me his best and loved it as much as me... big big thanks to Warren Byers and Richelle Byers for lending Dude to me so I could give barrels a go... there is only one of him... enjoy the rest old man.. you deserve it. Thanks mate you will always be a very special horse in my heart.
