Tomorrow marks an unofficial anniversary for my wife and I. 36 - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow marks an unofficial anniversary for my wife and I. 36 years ago we began living together, four years prior to our marriage. The road has been anything but smooth, but then again I guess it wouldnt be much of a relationship if we didnt have our hate you - love you moments. There have been times weve almost called it quits. Almost. Weve been through every challenge a couple can face, I think. Some of them, more than once. Those few that really know us, know what Im talking about. More importantly, Chris knows what Im talking about. A few of those challenges exist still. Hell, I guess there will always be challenges to face. They say opposites attract and I guess thats true. Shes certainly the opposite of me! And I guess thats what grinds on our nerves every so often. Some of the opposites that were originally attractive are really a PITA to deal with now. :-) But after 36 years, our lives...our souls...are so intertwined that one cannot exist without the other. Even on those days we cant stand to be on the same planet with one another, there would be a black hole in space and the sheer time/space fabric of the universe would tear if one of us werent there. When things are bad, we stick with it and get past it. And when things are good...well, they can be really, really good! My wife was the nurturer in our family, the mother wolf that looked over our two boys with fearlessness and courage. She taught them more about being men and fathers than I did, I think. She gives of herself still, in her work at the local hospital, making sure the staff in her department has what they need to do their jobs and always has time to talk to a family waiting on a loved one, lifting them up and making them feel important. And shes devoted as a grandmother, still full of love and showering it on our granddaughters every chance she gets. Yeah, all in all, its been a pretty good run so far. And since she gets up so damn early in the morning to go to work, I figured Id better share this a little early. Thanks, baby, for loving me (and not killing me in my sleep). :-) https://youtube/watch?v=WpmILPAcRQo
