Tomorrow will be a bitter sweet day. Tomorrow will be my last day at Newark Public Schools. After 33 years of working for the state of NJ, I will be retiring. I end my career with a sad goodbye to my Arts High family. You all made going to work an adventure, everyday was different. I will forever remember my great co-workers, Edy Battles; Donna Jordan, Ronnie D Carney, Curtis Norfleet, the whole Guidance suite; Ricardo Pedro, and of course our fearless leader, our Principal, Lynn Irby-Jackson . You all make Arts High, a destination high school for many talented Newark students. I will also always cherish the kids who make it what its all about. Their dreams, visions and talents are amazing. Those who took a piece of my heart with them; Malissa Hanson, White Mike (LOL), Danny Daniel Martinez, Courtney Martinez, Catelyn Martinez. And of course my adopted son Rhudson Fonseca, you came into my life and filled a void, kept my mind busy, during the darkest days of my life in 2008. I LOVE you all. DREAM BIG, WORK HARD, BELIEVE IN GOD.
