Tonight, I played I Wanna Live by the Ramones at Xmortis. Its tough ... you hear during the middle of the night that the last surviving original Ramone passed away, and hes only 8 years older than you. Its heartbreaking, really. And yet, Im spinning music to make people happy (or sad - ;) - since its a goth night, and an anniversary of a longstanding gothly/industrial tradition here in Cambridge MA). I couldnt ignore it, so I tried to find the balance. I celebrate the Ramones, and all the joy and brilliance they have brought to me over the decades. I hope that everyone who attended XMORTIS: TEN had as much of an amazing and moving time as I did. It was such a treat to spin with Addam Bombb again, and its an honor to be part of such an outstanding ongoing legacy of beautiful darkness & light here in Cambridge. Thank you. xoxo, Chris.
