Tonight, Im into theology. As I was doing Ash Wednesday bulletins, I realized I have a mood problem that I didnt have a year ago. Last year, 2 months out from Steves death, I had the Lenten mood down pat. I was the Lentiest person in the pew! Now, I have this resurrection theme running and I keep wondering if that means I should be deliriously happy on Sundays, when its allowed, and tamp down the happy stuff for the other 40 days of Lent? But, then I thought, for those of us who believe, Lent with its time for reflection and repentance is essential to our faith, but what undergirds it all, is that we never forget the joy of the resurrection. Thats the point. So, if God spies a smile amidst the sackcloth and ashes, I dont think He minds. Thats my plan and Im sticking to it.
