Tonight, Mom and I went to Genesys Hospital for our regular Monday night visit. When we got there, a lady came up to us in the lobby and asked if we would come and visit her husband. He was there for a procedure but could not be released yet. She thought that if I came to visit him, it might help calm him enough so that he could pass the criteria to be released. I had a great visit with him and brought some big smiles to his face, so I am pretty sure he was able to go home shortly after my visit. I was cold and rainy here all day, and both Mom and I really wanted to stay at home and snuggle rather than go out tonight. But like always, once we get out the door and visit some patients, we are energized and come home with big smiles on our faces. I know I say this over and over, but Pet Therapy work is SO rewarding.
